GPS systems have been all the rage for the past few years. GPS receivers communicate with a satellite array to give accurate 3d positional information. However, as soon as you walk into a building, everything stops working. As good as they are, satellites can't communicate within buildings. So what if I'm lost in a mall and want exact directions to the local Sony store, or what if I want to precisely track the exact location of my parts in a manufacturing process? Well, along comes a company called Arc Soft, with their indoor GPS equivalent technology. Pretty cool.
